This Is How You Lose the Time War

Authors: Amal El Mohtar and Max Gladstone

Mood: Emotional. Adventurous.

Summary: Red and Blue fight on opposing sides of the Time War. Both are traveling through threads of history in efforts to sway the results in their favor. This doesn’t stop them from forming an unlikely alliance— starting from taunts as penpals, but ultimately turning into love and devotion.

Review: Inventive and creative as fuck. Lovely, poetic prose. Most romantic love notes I’ve ever read. I wanted to reread it as soon as I finished.

My Rating:

4 stars

Drink: What better drink for star-crossed lovers than a Romeo and Juliet? When I improve my own cocktail making skills, I’ll find a way to serve the drink purple, in honor of Red and Blue’s union.
